China News Service Beijing on June 7 China's industrial textile industry has entered a period of adjustment, and the industrial added value of enterprises above the industrial scale has increased by 3.8% year-on-year. The nonwovens output of enterprises above designated size reached 19.79 million tons, up 17.3 percent year on year.

By sector, from January to April, the operating income and profits of enterprises above the designated size of rope, rope and cable increased by 29.8% and 70.8% respectively year on year. The operating income and profit of enterprises above the scale of textile belt and cord cloth increased by 28.5 percent and 262.8 percent respectively year on year.

In terms of international trade, from January to April, the export value of nonwovens, special yarns, thread, rope, cable and its products was USD2.79 billion, up 54.8% year on year, among which the export value of nonwovens was USD1.66 billion, up 68.1% year on year, and the export value was up 51.9% year on year.

According to the China Industrial Textiles Association, profits in these sectors from January to April 2021 have fallen sharply from last year's peak, as prices of nonwovens and anti-epidemic materials have returned to pre-epidemic levels. Nonwovens production, sales and export still maintain a high growth rate, the market demand for nonwovens and its products is not reduced. From January to April, there was an obvious recovery trend in the non-epidemic prevention materials sector of the industrial textile industry, which is expected to continue throughout 2021.
