What is untwisted yarn?

How is untwisted yarn formed?

Yarn forming principle:

Yarn forming method:

1. Adhesive method

The yarn formed after the fiber is adhered and mixed on the drawing frame can be directly fed to the spinning frame without twist after drying. It eliminates the four processes of the traditional spinning process, namely two jointing, roving and spinning processes. This non-twist yarn method can increase yarn production by 10 times compared with ring spinning, it overcomes the obstacles of high yield of ring spinning and spinning cup spinning, can use sliver directly spinning, and some can even spin non-twist yarn directly from the comb net, and the output can reach 300~400 meters/minute. In addition, the distance between the draft rollers can be adjusted to adapt to different lengths of fiber spinning, so as to realize spinning cotton yarn, wool yarn and other different varieties of yarn on the same machine.

2. Soft wrapping method

This method uses the parallel spinning method to spin the first yarn. The first yarn is composed of soluble filament fiber and untwisted parallel staple fiber. The soluble filament fiber is coiled around the untwisted flat staple fiber in a spiral shape. After finishing, the filament is dissolved, leaving only the short yarn with no twist at the core. In this process, the role of the filament is only to provide the tension required for the weaving process.

Characteristics of yarn without twist

Because there is no twist shrinkage, the shrinkage rate of the formed fabric is smaller than that of the traditional fabric, which can save raw materials.

The fibers in the non-twist yarn are exposed to the outside and can be fully in contact with the dye, so the dye is easy to dye, so the dyeing performance is better.

④ The parallelism of the fibers in the fabric formed by untwisted yarn is higher, so the luster is better than that of the fabric formed by twisted yarn.

Disadvantages of untwisted yarn

Twistless towel feels super soft and thick, but in the process of use, no matter how high-grade twistless, there will be some hair loss, which is difficult to eliminate the shortcomings caused by the process. However, we can wash it with warm water before use, which can remove most of the floating hair, which can improve the hair loss phenomenon

Does untwisted yarn have twist?

The untwisted yarn is generally used by the soft wrapping method, which is the first yarn spun by the conventional spinning method.

Then the soluble Vinylon fiber is wound on the surface of the initial yarn to form a yarn, the customer will melt the water-soluble vinylon fiber in the post-finishing process, leaving only the initial yarn on the fabric, so that the fabric is soft to achieve the desired effect;

The fibers in the untwisted yarn are exposed and can be fully in contact with the dye, so the dye is easy to dye the twisted yarn is often mercerized, so that the fibers are arranged neatly to obtain a good luster, and the untwisted yarn does not need this treatment; Lighter, thicker and more comfortable fabrics can be woven using the fluffing effect of non-twist fabrics.

What is the difference between weakly twisted yarn and untwisted yarn?

In durability:

Untwisted yarn: the durability of untwisted yarn is lower than that of weakly twisted yarn;

Weak twist yarn: The durability of weak twist yarn is higher than that of weak twist yarn and lower than that of veil.

On the twist:

No twist yarn: no twist;

Weak twist yarn: When weak twist yarn is spinning, it does not complete the twist of cotton yarn, and generally only completes about 70% of the twist of cotton yarn.

In terms of advantages and disadvantages:

No twist yarn: the fabric of no twist yarn feels super soft and thick, but in the process of use, there will be some hair loss, which is difficult to eliminate the shortcomings caused by the process, you can wash it with warm water before use, you can remove the floating hair, you can improve the hair loss phenomenon;

Weak twist means less twist (rotation) on 10CM yarn, and no twist means no twist. Twisting yarn is a means to improve yarn fastness, but it will reduce the comfort, water absorption and air permeability of yarn. In terms of comfort, the untwisted towel is better than the weak twist towel, but the durability is not as good as the weak twist towel.
