As the most widely used chemical fiber, polyester fiber has good fiber forming properties and mechanical properties, high strength, light resistance, heat resistance and good acid and alkali resistance, has good processability and easy spinning, can be pure spun, blended or interwoven. Polyester fabric is washable, wear-resistant, non-ironing and wrinkle-resistant, and is widely used in clothing, home textile, decoration and industrial applications. However, polyester fiber also has poor moisture absorption, fabric does not absorb sweat, wearing a stuffy feeling, poor anti-static ability and easy to stain dust and other shortcomings, so it greatly restricts the application of polyester fiber in the development.


In order to improve the wearing comfort of polyester fiber, it is necessary to make the fabric have good moisture absorption and fast drying, so that the clothing is light and comfortable, and the fiber cross-section can significantly improve the moisture absorption of the fiber after the special-shaped, so people have been committed to research and development with the function of moisture absorption and perspiration.


A chemical fiber with a particular cross-sectional shape spun through a certain geometric (non-circular) spinneret. Also known as "shaped cross section fiber". The so-called special-shaped fiber is to make the original identical synthetic fiber into a cross-sectional deformed fiber. Like natural fibers, make them triangular, star-shaped, leafy, etc., can be profiled cross-sectional fibers, can also be profiled hollow fibers, or composite profiled fibers. Profiled fibers are the opposite of circular fibers. It is extruded with holes of spinneret with special geometry, so that the cross section of a certain geometry of the fiber. At present, the special-shaped fibers mainly have three shapes, fan shapes, hollow shapes and so on.


Shaped fiber was originally introduced by the United States DuPont company in the early 1950s triangle section, and then Germany developed a pentagonal section. In the early 1960s, the United States developed hollow fibers with good heating properties. Japan began to develop profiled fibers in the 1960s. Subsequently, the United Kingdom, Italy and the former Soviet Union and other countries have also developed such products. Because the manufacturing of profiled fibers and textile processing technology is relatively simple, and the investment is less, the effect is fast, so the development is also relatively fast. The development of shaped fiber in China was in the mid-1970s of last century. In the manufacture of spinneret, the processing technology is improved, and the spinneret spinnerability is improved. In spinning, there is a mature and complete process. In terms of textile products, it is mainly based on imitation of various natural fibers.

Blended wool-like fabric

A better effect of wool-like fabric can be obtained by using profiled section polyester fiber for blending. It has the characteristics of high shagginess, good warmth retention, thick fabric and light weight.


Imitation silk fabric

The imitation silk fabric is made of polyester with special-shaped section. The fabric has unique luster, light and smooth, soft feel, crisp and free of ironing, easy to wash and dry. Especially after the fabric is further finished, the fabric will also have the style of silk. The polyester section can be selected from three-leaf shape, five-leaf shape and triangle. Choose three-leaf or five-leaf fabric luster is softer.
