What is the effect of tension on product quality?

When weaving of the warp loom tension not only directly affect the operation of production, and will severely affect the quality of the products, some products of rib profile, a lever, the surface form of unilateral gear, etc., a man is due to improper warp loom tension, specifically, the warp loom tension effect on the quality of the product to roughly the following several aspects:


1.Effect on the breakage rate


The warp thread from the warp axis to woven fabric, through the guide roller, heald wire, reed thousands of times of tension and friction, the machine tension on the silk thread increases, easy to cause fatigue, breakage in the weak link of the warp thread, so excessive machine tension is the main cause of warp thread breakage. Some people have done experiments on a certain fabric, adjusting the tension of the warp thread, the flatness of the warp thread, the warp position and other related factors, so that the breakage rate of the warp thread is reduced from 0.839 to 0.175 per warp hour. Can it be considered that: the smaller the machine tension, the lower the breakage rate? According to the analysis, the beating force on the general fabric is not 90°, so the beating force can be decomposed into the force F along the fabric direction and the force F perpendicular to the fabric direction. When the beating force is unchanged, if the warp tension decreases, the beating force F along the silk surface will decrease, so the fabric formation area and the beating area will increase. In this way, the friction between the warp wire and the reed is increased, and the "implanting" phenomenon of the warp wire in front of the reed is also increased, which leads to the increase of the end break. Therefore, too little warp wire tension is also disadvantageous to weaving.


2.Influence on shrinkage of fabric


If the warp wire tension is high, when the warp wire and the weft are interwoven, the warp wire will compress the weft wire, resulting in the increased buckling of the weft wire, thus increasing the internal stress of the weft wire. When the fabric is involved in the coiling roller, especially after the machine is disengaged, the tension of warp wire disappears, and the weft wire will produce a large back pressure on warp wire due to the "resistance" of the internal stress, so as to form the situation that the warp shrinkage rate increases and the weft shrinkage rate decreases.


3.Influence on the feel and appearance of fabric


The size of the tension on the warp thread has a great influence on the feel and appearance of the fabric. If the tension on the warp thread is properly controlled, the silk surface of the fabric is flat, the grain is clear and the feel is good. And the silk tension is too large because of excessive elongation, silk is not sufficiently plump, and the silk machine tension is too large, the fabric is likely to produce "thin mouth file".
