Do your fabrics really need to be inspected?

In addition to laboratory testing items for textile fabrics, routine testing is mainly as follows:

1. Surface defect detection: mainly to prevent the defect from flowing to the end user. Calculate the fabric loss, and optimize the production process and process by counting the types and quantities of defects, and prevent the occurrence of production accidents.

2 color difference: including edge, head and tail, and cylinder color difference. It mainly provides basis and guidance for tailoring and sewing of clothing.

3. Gram weight: Gram weight will affect the texture of the fabric, while the knitted fabric by weight trading, will also cause the phenomenon of the short size of the fabric, if the edge of the middle, the head and tail of the gram weight difference is relatively large will produce color difference and other accidents.

4. Weft inclination: serious weft inclination produces seam distortion, and it is difficult to flower the fabric with lattice stripe pattern.

5. Door width: whether the yard length is accurate, odor and other material is also routine detection content.

The detection rate of human inspection fabric is low, not objective, not standard but also mark registration, statistics, etc., in fact, the overall efficiency is very low, then why also test?

The original purpose of human development of fabric standards is to solve trade disputes, which is why many large textile and clothing enterprises, usually fabric only a small amount of sampling inspection, not full inspection of the reason. This is also the reason why the quality improvement of the global textile and garment industry has reached the bottleneck (low input-output ratio), and the current fabric inspection can no longer meet the requirements of the future development of the textile and garment industry.

What kind of objectives should fabric inspection achieve in the overall cooperation process of the textile and apparel supply chain?

First, through the inspection to prevent the occurrence of large volume of accidental quality accidents. Through the statistics of the problems to find the defects of the process and production process, to achieve the purpose of optimizing the production process and technology.

Second, to prevent destructive defects such as broken yarn holes, light color stains and other defects that users cannot accept, and make clothes.

3. Accurate and objective inspection of color difference, gram weight, surface defect, door width, weft slant, etc., to evaluate the loss of fabrics, guide the use of fabrics, improve the utilization rate of fabrics and efficient collaboration between textile enterprises and fabric enterprises.

Fourth, the quality of the fabric should be objectively assessed to reduce disputes between the two sides of the transaction (although large textile and garment enterprises produce their own fabrics, usually clothing enterprises are relatively angry), so that a large amount of human and material resources can be invested in solving the problem rather than shirk the responsibility.

Fabric routine testing standards such as the United States four points system is currently the world's more common standard, European standard, Japanese standard, national standard many countries and regions also have their own standards, multinational enterprises have their own standards, and even each big enterprise has its own standards. In the past, these standards were formulated and promoted in the way of written description, which was limited to the ability of communication in the past. Due to the different development stages of thinking and understanding ability in each country and region, it is difficult to train professionals in a long period, and the implementation efficiency of the standards is not high. With the widespread use of video and image transmission and storage, industry standards and communication training content based on animation, video and images need to be developed as soon as possible to meet the needs of future industry upgrades.
