Singeing process is a very important link in the fabric pre-treatment process, under normal circumstances, the fabric needs to go through the singeing process in the pre-treatment, but not all products must go through the singeing process, such as in order to reduce production costs, the woolen fabric generally does not need to go through the singeing process; In order to prevent the high temperature resistance of polyester and stretch silk, the singeing process should be adjusted according to the product requirements, and the high temperature fast singeing process should be adopted, the reverse side is not singeing, or the front and back sides are not singeing.

In the production process, it is often necessary to judge whether the fabric has gone through the singeing process in the production process because of a quality problem in order to find out the real cause of the quality problem.

★ Judging from the fabric finish: the fabric finish after singeing is better, the long hair is almost no, the short hair is significantly reduced, the cotton knot on the cloth is less, and the color is full and uniform. The fabric without singeing can be found to have a small amount of long fibers of more than 5mm when facing the light, while the short fibers of about 2mm are more, the cotton knot on the cloth is more, the fabric color is obviously uneven, and the difference in depth can be seen on the cloth.

★ Judging from the uniformity of the fabric edge: there will be obvious length difference in the residual weft of the fabric edge after singeing, and the size of this difference has a great relationship with the singeing process; The fabric that has not been treated by the singeing process is uniform, and there is no obvious difference of uneven length.

★ Judging from the trace left after the fiber burning: fabric weft direction and chemical fiber fabrics can be judged by analyzing the shape of the weft yarn on the fabric edge to determine whether it has been singed. Because the chemical fiber has a melting process, the traces of chemical fiber melting will be seen in the weft residue of the fabric edge tissue after the singeing process. Under normal circumstances, the naked eye can be observed, the hand has a ball and tingling feeling, and the traces of its melting can be clearly seen under the microscope.
