Colour fastness

Color fastness (Color fastness), also known as dyeing fastness, dyeing fastness. It refers to the resistance of the color of the textile to various effects during processing and use.

The fastness grade is evaluated according to the discoloration of the sample and the coloring of the undyed lining fabric. The color fastness test of textile is a routine item in the intrinsic quality test of textile.

Textiles in its use process will be subjected to light, washing, ironing, sweat stains, friction and chemical agents and other external effects, some printing and dyeing textiles also through special finishing processing, such as resin finishing, flame retardant finishing, sand washing, grinding, etc., which requires the color of printing and dyeing textiles to maintain a certain fastness.

Color fastness

Color fastness for short color fastness; The color of colored fibers, fabrics or other pigments, during the processing and use of sunlight, washing, friction, sweat and other corrosion resistance.

Color abundance rating, except for light old sun fastness is R, the rest are 5. The higher the number, the better the color fastness. Leather determination methods have two kinds of fading (color change of the leather itself) and staining l on the contact.

The color fading test is the color difference between the leather sample and the untreated test sample uu after the leather sample is treated according to the specified conditions, and the standard gray sample card is compared and graded. The stain test is to touch the sample with the standard white cloth according to the specified conditions. The degree of the white cloth is determined by the color transfer of the sample, and the grade is measured by the gray stain sample card.

Color fastness

Clothing composed of different color parts, in storage sometimes occur dye from one area to another area of the situation, usually from the dark part to the light part of the migration, this phenomenon is different from sublimation, because it is below the sublimation temperature, and non-sublimed dyes can also occur this phenomenon. It is mainly reflected in the migration of polyester and other chemical fiber fabrics, and other raw materials are also available.

The color transfer is mainly due to two reasons: first, the transfer of dyes occurs, especially the dispersion, the floating color of reactive dyes and the free dyes migrating within the fibers, which may dye the fibers on the surface of another sample; In particular, dark colors are dyed on light colors, thus remaining on the surface of another sample in a granular, imprinted manner. The second is that the fibers fall off under the action of friction and are transferred from one sample to another.
